Well, we didn't have as much fun at the doctor today as we had hoped. We didn't get any good pictures from the 3-D ultrasound. He wouldn't move his hands and feet from his face (he's apparently breech right now). We did get a couple new 2-D pictures at least - just like the last ones, only this time he actually looks like a baby rather than a little alien. =)
Our time with the doctor was even less thrilling. My BP was too high (140/100 or something like that), so they got a little excited. The doc was talking about sending me to the hospital for a shitload of tests until I reminded him we are self-pay, then he decided they could do the lab there and monitor me on their own machine for now (which I guess had okay results). He started talking about bedrest, and we agreed I would start with cutting my hours. So, now we go back on Thursday for more fetal monitoring, and we are on weekly appointments from here on out.
So... off I go to lay in bed apparently.
P.S. Sorry Sherri & Miranda - I didn't get around to doing any belly pictures today - maybe later this week.

Doctor Appointment - 29 weeks
We had our 29-week dr. appointment today, and all went well.
The doctor said everything looks good. Even though Terry and I thought for sure the doctor would comment on how big we are, he actually said we are right on target with our measurements and are having a textbook pregnancy as far as growth and things are concerned (29 cm belly measurement and 150 baby heartbeat). He was even kind enough to say my weight looks good, which just gives me a chuckle every time - especially since I packed on a few extra pounds since I was home (it was all that yummy food you guys fed me! =) The dr is still impressed that we are stretch mark-free so far. =)
Even though my swelling has come down quite a bit, we did talk to the dr about it. He said what little swelling I have left appears quite normal and my blood pressure reading was normal today, so everything appears okay. So he just gave me the usual precautions for swelling like limiting salt, getting my feet up, and keep up the swimming that we've finally started.
So, that's pretty much about it. We have our glucose tolerance test to do this week which will make sure we don't have gestational diabetes, and we will go back for our next appt on June 26 - in 3 weeks. At our next appointment, we get to have our 3-D ultrasound and will hopefully get some cute, very real pictures of our little guy's features. We can't wait!
